Getting serious on the “green” side of the business, the leading companies of the world seem quite convinced - if not inevitably swept by it - about running their business on greener grounds. Some say it is still the trendiest marketing tool and some insist that the “green issue” has already been considered beyond trendy concerns and that no company should have the luxury anymore to neglect environmental indicators. Once you step on these fields you realise that there has been a great effort going on for being “responsible” led by the giants of each and every industry constituting a considerably rich literature on “green business”.
Joschka Fischer, one of world’s leading and most popular lecturers on “Green Business” and the German Minister of Foreign Affairs between the years 1998-2005, visited Istanbul for the “Green Marketing Conference” held at Hyatt Regency in April. Being a highly respected and demanded figure of such conferences, Fischer emphasized the importance of environmentally responsible company strategies and related policies for “Business with the EU and Beyond”. Another outstanding guest lecturer of the conference was John Grant, the author of the book “ The Green Marketing Manifesto”
Now it’s easier, cheaper and more influential to MEET in Turkey.
Meeting Point, the joint project of AFM, Turkey’s largest movie theatre chain and o.d.s.tur.key, has finally opened the doors for Asemble Organization’s “ My Sales School” project. Istanbul being the centre for the seminars, the participants from Ankara and Izmir had the opportunity to follow each session in the designated AFM movie theatre through the Digitürk broadcasting in their hometowns.
Being the guest lecturer of the first series of this project, Prof. Stefano D’Anna extended his voice to many young sales specialist candidates through this live broadcast, announcing the “heart of the matter” which promises a unique guidance on the way searching for success and happiness. Prof. D’Anna, a genuine writer, sociologist and economist, is the founder and rector of a school exclusively designed for Gods: European School of Economics.
