As being a semi-traditional city mostly surrounded by summer districts, Balikesir’s population increases during the summer season. Balikesir offers a great variety of activities within its natural beauties.
Located in between the Marmara and Aegean regions, Balıkesir has some mild climate – neither too hot nor too cold. Depending on its coasts at both Marmara and Aegean seas, the population of the city enlarges during the summer season with mostly local tourists.
The mountain called “Kazdagi” which’s the highest point is 1774 meters, should be mentioned when talking about Balikesir. Oxygen level increases around here and Kazdagi is announced as one of the oxygen-rich regions in the world. Kazdagi hosts some beautiful and rich vegetation that inspires artists. There are some boutique accommodation opportunities at Kazdagi, additionally recently some hotels with a larger number of rooms and meeting facilities have been opened. Kazdagi is a nice destination for both adventure and leisure stays and with recently opened hotels, it has become a destination for incentive groups, as well.
